My Funny Valentine, sweet comic valentine

 October 28.  

That was the last time.  She was round and large, just days away from giving birth, but it's now February 14th.

More than enough time has passed, even with all the difficulties of the delivery, and the healing afterward.  Still, the old adage is true -- how do parents find the time to be with each other?

Morgana is hoping their daughter will cooperate -- just for an hour or two, by staying asleep, peacefully, in her crib in the nursery. In her parents' room her Mama is laying on the bed, waiting for Morven's daddy.

He doesn't want to fight either. That would be a terrible way to spend Valentine's day.

"What do you say we skip the table and I just have you here, a few times."

The rumble that he jokes with hints at the fact he's half serious. Really, it has been a very long time.

"It's likely Ducky was conceived on the last table we tried," she says it quietly, as that will be one thing Morven will never, ever know. "So your skills with tables are unsurpassed."

Technically, it shouldn't have been possible, but the fact it happened, makes her love him more.

"But here fucking works too." She's going to take a hold of him, trying to pull him down on the bed. It's all in fun and fun is the only thing she has on the agenda.

"I like to think I have unsurpassed skills in many areas, not just with tables." Ego, ego, ego. Most people consist mainly of water. For Merlin, he is saturated with ego.

Though it's not the obvious kind. As he keeps a generally humble outward appearance.

Settling above her, short, heated kisses soon take the place of conversation.

There is a great deal of laughter beneath the kisses. It wavers between a giggle and a purr. Well aware of his ego, there's the comfortable familiarity that she's not had before is a relationship.

"You have too many clothes on." That is not a comment, but an order.

"Do I?"

His hands are already attempting to work their way up her thin, sheer, poor excuse for pajamas.

"Going to do something about that?" She may order him all she likes, Merlin tends to do as he wants anyway. Usually with a lot of teasing involved.

They are the most pitiful excuse for pajamas or all time. They're really meant to give him a good view.

"If you don't start taking some of them off, I swear, I'll steal them all."

She's tried it before, during that time they first lived together -- a rather surreal existence, but brought them to where they are now.

"Well that would certainly show me then. Wouldn't it?" He laughs a little, enjoying the way they are right now. It's been unusually long since he's had her under him. The way she fits up against him is more than perfect, it's necessary.

It's simple like this. She's never had simple before in anything. Not. Edding to move, she runs her fingers down his back. It's odd, but she missed being under him. His weight felt right.

Feeling downright sappy, she gives him a smile that borders on goofy.

"Let me be clear. I love you but either you take this shirt off, or I'm bloody well shredding it to get at you."
